Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. Reaction: "BOOM" (4x13)

Spoilers! Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. contains PG-13 level content.

Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. is back with another explosive episode! How did things go down for our favorite agents this week? Let's find out.

My Favorite Moments
★ Mack. (Is anyone really surprised that I loved Mack yet again?) I just loved that his response to Agnes was, "I'm sorry." I also loved that he was willing to stand up to Coulson, who was getting a little too aggressive in his pursuit of Agnes. Good for you, Mack (as always).

★ The girl power. Agnes ultimately agreed to help S.H.I.E.L.D. because she connected with the idea of helping May. I know Coulson's determination in going after Agnes was really sketchy, and I'm a little peeved with him (more on that later), but I did love that Agnes connected with May even though she barely knew her.

★ I liked Agnes as a whole. Her character was solid, and she was really sweet. She really deserved better. Also, Mallory Jansen is a fantastic actress.

★ Jeffrey Mace. I started out this season hating him, and now he's one of my favorite characters. What even? I swear, he's going to get himself killed. I was internally screaming when he threw himself on the metaphorical Inhuman bomb. If he dies this season, especially as a sacrificial death, I will not be happy. Do not do this to yourself, Mace. If you die, I will kill you again.

★ I really like Daisy's new diplomatic role. I know I said that last time, but I reeeeally like it now. In the comics, Daisy Johnson was the director of S.H.I.E.L.D., and I see the show kind of leading her in that direction now, especially with how she was bossing Mace around. It's fantastic. All hail the queen.

My Least Favorite Moments
★ I am pretty sure that Aida is going to snap soon. She's going to get feelings, get jealous of Radcliffe loving Agnes or something, and kill everyone. When Tucker referred to her as a "thing," I am pretty sure she didn't like that. Mark my words, she's going to start feeling something really soon, and we're all going to regret it. I'm also calling it now: Aida's going to be the one to kill Radcliffe. Whatever happens, it's not gonna be pretty.

★ Aida just creeps me out, okay? At first, I was really psyched for the LMD plot twist, but robots and artificial intelligence is terrifying me way more than I ever thought it would. And despite Radcliffe trying to make sure Aida didn't fall into the uncanny valley, she definitely falls into the uncanny valley for me, especially after seeing her contrasted with Agnes. It's something about her eyes.

★ Ellen Nadeer's death. I never liked her, but I don't like that she's gone. Though... is she really gone? I feel kind of suspicious. I'm gonna need more proof.

★ I had a love/hate relationship with Tucker Shockley. I loved him at first, then I hated him. I have to admit, though, his power is super intriguing!

★ I have to talk about my mixed feelings about Coulson. I'm frustrated that he wouldn't let Agnes be, and because he didn't, it led to Agnes' death. However, Coulson did this because of how much he loved May, so I honestly can't blame him for that. And ultimately, the blame lies with Radcliffe for what happened to Aida. However, I'm still mildly frustrated with Coulson for what happened.

★ THIS EPISODE WAS EXTREMELY ROUGH. Everything was awful. I am not okay with how it ended because Holden freaking Radcliffe manipulated Agnes and let her die in a machine instead of Spain where she wanted to die on her own terms in peace. I am a giant angry squid rage monster.

★ What is this Framework? I have some concerns. And some curiosity. But mostly some concerns.

★ Judging from the promo, My New All-Time Favorite Character™ Jeffrey Mace is going to be tortured next week, so that's going to be fun.

More actual footage of me right now.

Overall
Don't let me fool you--this episode was awesome. Yes, it elicited strong emotions, but that's a sign of good television. Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. is headed in an amazing direction, and I can't wait to see where it goes next.

Did you see "BOOM"? What did you think of it?
