Jane the Virgin Recap: "Chapter Thirty-Five" 2x15

So, we have a new posting day, guys! Recaps of Jane the Virgin will now happen on Thursdays. Now, to the recap. I have mixed feelings about this one, guys.

So, we start with Jane telling Michael she loves him, and immediately there's the kissing. If the Rafael shipper in me wasn't killed last episode, it was stabbed about twenty more times over the course of the night that Jane has. She and Michael talk about everything and essentially get back together. That is until Jane brings up the subject of Rafael.

Michael says he will apologize but then must be on his way because Abuela and Xo have woken up. Jane then goes back inside to get ready for work because she's started working at the Marbella again, but as she's leaving, Rogelio stops by. He and Xo have decided to bypass all the negative feelings and go straight for friendship. While there, Rogelio tells everyone about his new assistant, Paola, who used to work for J. Lo.

Meanwhile, the hotel is suffering because people have been suspicious about all the murders. Petra is stressing because of that, and also she's about ready to burst.
source
Lina is ready to burst because Jane is back at work. She gives Jane all the new details about the employees and how assistant Scott as a manager is awful. He displays this behavior when he accuses Lina of stealing liquor from the bar. She denies it of course, as does Luisa when it comes to her alcohol problem. After seeing Rose dead, she has turned back to the bottle.

We go to Jane, who must confront Rafael about Michael. He doesn't want to hear it, but after some yelling, agrees to have lunch with him. Jane tells Michael about the conversation but is cut short when Susanna walks in. She really wants to crack down on the Mutter case, seeing as how her family was threatened. Meanwhile, Rafael is distracted by Jane and Michael and can't focus on hotel stuff, which includes Petra.

Back at the Villanueva house, Rogelio introduces the family to Paola and also tells them about his Tiago premiere night. When he leaves, Abuela and Jane confront Xo about the breakup, but she insists there's nothing wrong. Soon, Jane must be on her way because she's taking the closing shift at the hotel to find out whose been stealing the liquor. We soon discover that it's really Luisa. Jane confronts her, and Luisa promises to stop and also tell Scott she was the one stealing the liquor.

We return to Rogelio and Paola. Paola thinks they should put more security measures in place because she suspects a stalker could be a foot. Back with Jane, she and Michael are hanging out with Mateo. Jane preps Michael for the lunch meeting with Rafael and ends things on a happy note with Jane, but not with Rafael. The lunch date goes terribly, and Rafael storms off.

Rogelio soon stops by, and Jane reveals she and Michael are back together, so he of course freaks out because their bromance can blossom once more. But Jane tells him about all of her reservations, and in giving advice, Rogelio reveals he's still waiting on Xo. The conversation is interrupted when Rogelio is called in to the set about his stalker issue. Apparently the stalker was apprehended and found with a pair of Rogelio's underwear. Rogelio sends them away with Paola, but when she's alone, she takes the underwear out and breathes it in. That's right, she's the stalker!

Later, Rafael shows up for swim class with Mateo and misses the night nurse interviews with Petra. Jane is also angry at Rafael for not trying with Michael. The tension is obvious, until Mateo starts blowing bubbles, and it momentarily goes away. After the swim class, Rafael says that maybe he is a little jealous, but he also thinks Michael has made a lot of dangerous choices in work and doesn't trust him around Mateo. Meanwhile, Rogelio and Xo are practicing lines, and things get a little too hot and heavy, so they end up having ex-sex. Afterwards, Jane comes back, and Rogelio has to sneak out.
source
Jane confronts Xo about this and reveals that Rogelio is still holding out hope for her. Petra is also holding out hope for Rafael, and when Rafael comes back from the swim lesson, she says she doesn't want to be treated as less. Rafael assures her that she won't. At the same time, Scott recently fired someone for stealing the booze. Turns out it was Luisa again, who is partying drunkenly in the lounge.
source
Jane talks to Luisa about this, and she comes to the conclusion that Luisa should talk to Rafael. Jane then walks Luisa back to her apartment, where Susanna agrees to take over. Later, Xo tells Rogelio she really isn't going to change her mind about having kids, and that they should spend some time apart, so Rogelio is going to take Jane to the Tiago premiere instead. Even later, Jane is texting Michael and talks about all the problems Rafael brought up, and Michael says he would quit his job if that would solve the problem.

In the morning, Jane tells Xo about all of this, and Xoreally starts thinking about her own complicated relationship. As Jane leaves for the Tiago premiere, Xo breaks down in tears. Jane then stays to help soothe her, much to the dismay of Rogelio. Paola (creeeeeper) encourages the animosity between Jane and him, and also gets a few security details out of him.

Meanwhile, Luisa vents her feels to Susanna, and Susanna convinces Luisa to go back to rehab. Later, Jane finds Rogelio and asks why they never met up in the premiere. He reveals his hard feelings, and how he feels Xo will always come first for Jane. He angrily leaves, and Jane realizes she needs to do something. She confronts Rafael in her fancy dress and says Michael is willing to quit his job. Rafael reveals he feels like he will be replaced, and Jane assures him that's not going to happen. But as she leaves, Rafael tearfully runs to Petra. He declares he will be there for her and wants to be with her but Petra can see through it, and knows she's his second choice, so she sends him away.

But then Rafael meets a girl at a bar... Mini rant time. I feel like Rafael has gone through so much character growth up to this point. Yes, he was a playboy, but then everything happened. Suddenly he had to fight for what he wanted, and he did fight, and for a while it seemed like he was going to win. He'd never had to try before, but with Jane, things were different. She had to choose him, not the other way around. And all that character growth that came from their time together, flushed down the toilet as soon as he was rejected. Rafael has always gotten what he wanted, even if he had to fight for it, he got it in the end. And not that he's not getting what he wants, he's turning back to his old ways and it just makes me...

Anyway, Jane and Michael reunite at the pool and kiss and stuff, but that's not the suspenseful stuff. Rogelio walks into his apartment to find Paola creepily sitting on the couch. She ushers him in, locks the door behind of her, and declares that he is never leaving her.
